HIMAP’s 20-Year Journey

Over two decades, HIMAP has evolved into a symbol of excellence. Starting as the Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MTIAPI) on October 15, 2003, we laid the foundation for healthcare information management in the Philippines, focusing on medical transcription services and training.

A groundbreaking shift occurred on August 10, 2010, as we became the Healthcare Information Management Outsourcing Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HIMOAP). This expansion embraced medical transcription, editing, legal transcription, data entry, and more.

On February 10, 2015, we transitioned to HIMAP, broadening our horizons to encompass clinical support services, healthcare IT, revenue cycle management, and pharma and life sciences services, reinforcing our commitment to healthcare excellence.

On October 19, 2023, we proudly embrace HIMAP 4.0, marking 20 years of excellence. This rebranding signals our journey toward an innovative and transformative future in healthcare information management. Healthcare Information Management Services Conference (HIMSCON)

Annually, HIMAP hosts the Healthcare Information Management Services Conference (HIMSCON), a dynamic gathering of HIMS centers, training institutions, vendors, and industry enthusiasts. HIMSCON delves into cutting-edge trends in healthcare systems and solutions, exploring their transformative impact on the industry. This event features presentations by industry leaders and experts, enriching panel discussions, and an exhibit showcasing vendors and support service providers. While forward-focused, HIMSCON reflects on the year’s achievements and the factors influencing the Philippines’ role as a premier HIMS destination.

Quarterly General Membership Meeting

Exclusive to HIMAP members, the quarterly general membership meeting is a platform for inducting new members and addressing pertinent group concerns. Discussions range from the future of office spaces in Manila to vital organizational projects, including the growth dynamics of New Wave Cities.
